Built for the trades.
Made for creatives who think like owners.
We hire freelancers who hit deadlines, care about the work, and want recurring projects with clear standards.
Embedded in the Trades. Built for growth.
WholeHome Alliance partners with growth-driven home service companies – HVAC, plumbing, electrical, solar, and beyond – to elevate how they connect with homeowners, recruits, and their industry.
We're not outsiders. WholeHome was built inside a real $45M+ trades business, so we understand the pace, the pressure, and the standards. That's why our work hits differently – and why the freelancers we hire need to operate at the same level.
We produce across multiple brands:

If your work is sharp, your communication is clear, and your standards are high, there's a good chance we'll have something for you.
Disciplines we work with
We hire across the full creative production stack. Even when a discipline isn't actively posted, we keep a roster – so if you don't see your role, join the roster, and we'll reach out when something fits.

- Motion Designers / Animators

What you'll actually be making
Our freelancers contribute to high-impact work that gets shipped – not portfolio fodder that lives on a hard drive.
- On-site trade content: Real techs, real homes, real stories. Documentary-style and produced.
- Brand storytelling campaigns: Mini-docs and brand films for owner-led trades companies.
- Recruiting media: The films that help our clients hire the next generation of techs.
- Paid advertising creative: Performance-driven ads built to convert, not just look pretty.
- Long-form authority content: Interviews, case studies, leadership content for the trades.
- Educational and training assets: The academy library that trains technicians across the country.
Every project ships. Every project has a measurable outcome attached. If you care about the result and not just the reel, you'll fit in here.
What we expect
We're upfront about how we work because the freelancers we love don't want surprises. Here's the bar:
- Hit deadlines. Production schedules drive client revenue. Slipping isn't an option.
- Communicate clearly. Reply to messages. Flag issues early. No mystery.
- Care about the result. Aesthetics matter, but performance matters more.
- Operate like an owner. Take ownership of your scope from kickoff to delivery.
If that's how you already work, we should talk.
What you can expect
We're freelancers' favorite client because we don't ghost, don't lowball, and don't waste your time.
- Clear scope upfront. Every engagement has a written brief, deliverables, and timeline before you start.
- Recurring work. Our goal is repeat collaboration, not one-off transactions.
- Travel covered. When a project requires travel, we cover it. Details in the project brief.
- Real creative input. You're hired because you're good. We brief, you execute, we collaborate on cuts.
- Direct line. No layered project managers between you and decisions. Real humans, fast answers.
How it works
Apply or join the roster
Apply to a posted role, or join our Creative Roster if your discipline isn't currently open.
Intro conversation
A short call to align on your work, our standards, rates, and what kind of projects fit. We're evaluating fit, not testing you.
First project
We send a clear brief, you deliver, we pay fast. If it goes well, and it usually does, we put you on the recurring list.

Common questions, clear answers
Are these 1099 or W-2 roles?
Almost everything we post is 1099 / work-for-hire. Occasional W-2 roles are clearly labeled.
How are day rates determined?
Rates depend on discipline, experience, and project scope. We pay competitive market rates and confirm rates in writing before any project starts. No surprises.
Where are shoots located?
We shoot nationwide. Local creatives are prioritized for local shoots.
Do I need experience in the trades?
No, but it helps. We'll brief you on the industry, the standards, and what makes trade content land. If you're curious, you'll do well here.
Who would I report to?
Our production lead manages day-of operations. Josh Burdick (Managing Director) handles creative direction. You'll have a direct line to both.
